Senior communication journalism major Isabella Marcellino is interning at WHSV-TV3 in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Senior communication journalism major Shannon Long is interning with the Marketing and Media Department at the Chincoteague Bay Field Station on Wallop’s Island. She’s gaining experience in social media, writing and photography as she supports the station’s environmental education programs.
Junior accounting major Annie Megonnell is the summer intern at the Pennsylvania State Credit Union (PSECU) assisting with marketing, business development and public relations. She also helped at PSECU’s golf outing that raised $36,000 for Children’s Miracle Network.
Dr. Alison Feeney, professor of geography and earth science, spent a week in England at the Academy for Cider and Perry Production. She spent time in the cider lab and learned to properly smell, taste and describe cider.
Senior psychology major Avery Strohm is spending her summer interning with Family Services Inc. at the R.K. Agarwal M.D. & Family Teen Center Shelter. The runaway and homeless youth program is designed to alleviate the problems of runaway and homeless youth aged 12-17 by reunifying them with their families or finding a safe alternative living arrangement.
