Heather Warner ‘14M, president of H. Warner Marketing, will return to Shippensburg University to speak at the December 13 graduate commencement ceremony in the Luhrs Performing Arts Center.
Heather Warner has spent much of her career front-and-center, bringing local news to families across central Pennsylvania. Now, as the president of her own marketing company, the former news anchor and reporter is helping to bring area businesses front-and-center.
Warner obtained her master’s degree in communication studies at Shippensburg University in 2014. She was a graduate assistant in the university’s Office of Marketing and Communications, writing feature articles for Ship magazine and designing and developing the website for SUTV, all while anchoring the morning newscast at WPMT-FOX43, teaching at Elizabethtown College, and raising her three children in one year’s time.
After getting her master’s degree at Ship, Warner became a senior account executive at GRIT Marketing Group in York. After nearly two years at GRIT, Warner decided it was time to take advantage of her experience and all the connections she made through the years by starting her own marketing company. Today, her company, H. Warner Marketing, offers services in digital marketing, public relations, and media buying.
This is the product and culmination of her twenty-years of experience working in the communications field. Before her days in marketing, Warner served as the morning and evening news anchor at WPMT-FOX43. Prior to her time there, she worked at WGAL-Channel 8 and WDTV-Channel 5 as a news anchor and reporter, seeking and telling the stories of people who were making a difference in Central Pennsylvania.
The ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. and will be immediately followed by a reception in the Tuscarora Room in Reisner Dining Hall. Tickets are not required and ceremony guests should be seated by 6:45 p.m.
