Alumnus and Rupert Elementary School Principal Matthew Moyer ’96 has been named Pennsylvania’s Distinguished Principal for 2020 by the Pennsylvania Principal’s Association. He will represent PA during the selection of a national distinguished principal this fall.
Among his most significant accomplishments, Moyer has implemented districtwide safety plans and the introduction of non-violent crisis intervention training.
While a student at Ship, Moyer stretched his musical muscles in concert choir and madrigal singers, as well as concert band and jazz ensemble. Moyer participates in alumni events in the Reading area.
