Colleagues,
I write to you today to share an update to the orders issued by Governor Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine for space capacity and gathering limits. These changes to the orders go into effect today, Friday, October 9, 2020. It is important to note that these changes only apply to non-curricular events and do not apply to classroom instruction. These amended orders now allow for larger gatherings in both indoor and outdoor spaces when groups can adhere to appropriate distancing and mask wearing.
We have revised our guidance for the use of facilities and campus spaces for non-curricular usage accordingly. Employees may continue to refer to the return to work document that has also been updated to adhere to the new guidance.
