Sent on behalf of Tom Ormond, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Scott Barton, Senior Vice President of Administration and Finance
Dear Colleagues,
As we enter the 2020-21 holiday period faculty and staff may need to return to campus to either perform work-related functions or collect materials for use when working from home. On or after November 23, 2020 if you wish to access your office, laboratory or other academic space on campus, please notify your academic deans or your immediate supervisor to inform them of your intentions.
Faculty and staff returning to campus should adhere to the following guidelines:
Building Access. University Police can be reached at (717) 477-1444. Faculty and staff are asked to notify University Police upon their arrival, and if needed, the police will provide entry. This allows for accountability in the event of an emergency, as well as case investigation in the event of a probable or confirmed COVID-19 case.
Wear a Mask. All faculty and staff coming on-campus are required to wear a mask covering the face and nose.
Practice Social Distancing. All faculty and staff are to maintain social distancing and to avoid gathering in close proximity with others at all times when on campus.
Practice Good Hygiene. Faculty and staff should practice good hygiene as much as is reasonably practicable.
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or apply hand sanitizer.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are available at most building entrances.
- Avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your elbow and immediately wash hands or apply hand sanitizer when finished. Discard tissues in lined trash cans.
Monitor Health. All faculty and staff are expected to self-monitor their health, including taking their temperature when arriving on campus. If faculty, staff or someone in their household is sick, please refrain from coming to campus.
If you have any questions, please contact your supervisor, or please feel free to reach out to us directly.
Sincerely,
Tom Ormond, Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs
Scott Barton, Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance
