The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held at the Seth Grove Stadium at Shippensburg University, Thursday, May 6 through Saturday May 8.
The Shippensburg University men’s outdoor track & field team is in pursuit of its 12th consecutive league title and the women’s team is in pursuit of its first title since 2018.
The men’s team enters the championships as the No. 1 team in the Atlantic Region per the latest edition of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings, which equate a team’s value based on its top performances throughout the season. The regional rankings illustrate a team’s depth and articulate how it would perform in a “dual meet” setting.
The Raiders enter with the top seed in 10 events: Eric Kirk (100 meters), Drew Dailey (800 meters and 1,500 meters), Chayce Macknair (5000 meters), 4×100-meter relay, 4×400-meter relay, Jordan Winslow & Kenny Rhyne (high jump), Shamar Jenkins (triple jump), Pat Maloney (discus) and Cam Strohe (hammer).
SU will also be attempting to defend conference championships in three events: Charles Bowman Jr. in the 110-meter hurdles, the 4×400-meter relay, and Strohe in the hammer. Read more and watch the video at shipraiders.com>
