The Philadelphia Eagles announced their 2021 seasons Cheerleaders and you can expect to see a familiar Ship face on the squad. Angel Golphin ’15 is one of 11 new members to join the 32 person squad. She was selected from hundreds of candidates spanning across 24 states in addition to Japan, Taiwan, Mexico and Canada.
“As ambassadors for the organization, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders embrace meaningful engagement with our fans and have a strong connection with the community. This year’s newly selected cheerleaders will have an integral role in welcoming our extraordinary fans back to Lincoln Financial Field,” said Barbara Zunn, Eagles director of entertainment teams.
According to the Eagles website, Golphin will serve as a year-round brand ambassador and entertainer. Beyond game-day performances, she will serve as a role model by working with youth programs, raising awareness for important causes and communicate initiatives as a media representative for the team.
Golphin, of Philadelphia, was a member of the Shippensburg University Cheerleading Team and earned her BSBA with a concentration in human resources. She is now a talent acquisition consultant with TE Connectivity, a technology solutions company that produces highly engineered connectivity and sensing products for the automobile, aviation, communication and medical industries. She also volunteers as a big sister for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
