Shippensburg University sophomore Colin D. Arnold has been selected to serve as the student representative on the Shippensburg University of Trustees by Governor Josh Shapiro.

A graduate of Gettysburg Area High School, Arnold is a majoring in history with minors in political science and military science at Shippensburg University. In addition to his studies, he is an active member both on campus and within the community.

At Ship, he is a cadet in the Army ROTC program, the SGA Constitutional Review Committee, Phi Alpha Meta also known as the history honor society, and hosts ‘America the Beautiful’ on WSYC 88.7, the student-run radio station.

Outside the university, Arnold was the founder of Flags Across Adams Fundraiser for Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc. and is an affiliate of the Adam’s County Historical Society, all while working on the family farm.

Striving to commission as an officer in the US Army, Arnold aims to apply his leadership skills towards creating a positive impact in the military, at Ship , and beyond.

Arnold noted that he is “very humbled and honored to be selected as the next student Trustee of Shippensburg University” and he looks forward to representing the student body on the Council of Trustees. He takes great pride in being a part of Ship’s inclusive community and aims to continue to better the university during his council term.
