Shippensburg University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Megan Luft as the next vice president for Enrollment Management and Marketing. Luft was selected following an extensive national search and will assume the role on May 6, 2024.
Luft has served as interim associate vice president for Enrollment Management and Marketing since July 2023. In this role, she has been a strategic leader in the university’s enrollment management stabilization efforts. This includes increases in Ship’s first-time-in-college students, ShipStart dual enrollment students, and graduate students. Last summer she led the charge to decrease the summer melt rate by three percent and championed a 60 percent increase in enrollment counselor interactions with prospective students. With the addition of a Maryland-based recruiter, she continues to introduce Ship to new markets.

Patterson, president of Shippensburg University.
Dr. Luft has served in various enrollment roles across the higher education landscape including as director of Learning and Development at Noodle, director of Graduate Studies and Extended Learning at Widner University, and in recruitment-based roles at Harrisburg University, Central Penn College, and University of Phoenix.

Dr. Luft holds a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Communication from Central Penn College, a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Capella University, and an EdD in Higher Education Leadership from Capella University.
