The Board of Governors for Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) voted to freeze tuition at System universities, including Shippensburg University, for the seventh consecutive year.
With the decision, tuition for in-state undergraduate students – nearly 90 percent of whom are Pennsylvania residents – will be flat for seven consecutive years (2018-19–2024-25 academic years).
“We remain committed to providing an affordable and quality education at Shippensburg University. This freeze in tuition demonstrates our commitment to access and affordability for all students. We are grateful for the General Assembly and Governor Josh Shapiro and their continued support of our mission,” said Dr. Charles E. Patterson, president of Shippensburg University. Shippensburg University is also committed to keeping out-of-state tuition frozen for 2024-2025.
As a regional flagship public institution, Shippensburg University is a major contributor to Pennsylvania’s workforce. The university provides quality, industry-aligned programs that support high-demand workforce needs in healthcare, STEM, education, engineering, business and more. The university prioritizes innovative coursework, experiential learning initiatives and impactful internship and research opportunities, creating prepared graduates that employers seek.
