Christine Anne Royce participated in a two-week expedition about the JOIDES Resolution this summer, part of the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program research. The focus of this particular expedition called the “School of Rock,” was to brainstorm ways to integrate the content learned from this program into future professional development opportunities. Christine was part of the Pennsylvania team, including Dr. Jon Lewis, a geology professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Dr. Beth Kirman, a Shippensburg University graduate.

Dr. Royce also worked internationally with schools over the last two years in the Middle East. As part of her interest in this work, she just completed a BA degree in Arabic Language and Culture from Penn West University.
