Shippensburg University crowns 2025 Homecoming Royalty

This past weekend Ship hosted a series of events in celebration of Homecoming — bringing together the students, alumni and the broader community. From the Homecoming Parade, to the tailgate which featured a photo booth, face painting, an ice cream truck and a dunk tank to dunk the brothers of Kappa Sigma, there were plenty of fun activities for all ages. The community also gathered together at Gilbert Hall, for the March in Remembrance of Reverend Diane L. Jefferson, the late MSA director whose legacy continues to inspire the Ship community.

One of the major highlights from the weekend came on Saturday, October 25, 2025, during halftime at the Ship vs Lock Haven football game, when Kemi Adetunji and Theo Campomanes were crowned Shippensburg University’s 2025 Homecoming Royalty.

Adetunji was sponsored by the African American Organization and the African Student Association. Campomanes was sponsored by his fraternity, Kappa Sigma. The court as a whole donated over 80 hours of community service and raised $6,246 for Big Red’s Cupboard, a grant-funded and donation-run pantry available to students needing essential food and hygiene items.

This year’s Homecoming weekend not only celebrated Ship’s school spirit and tradition but also highlighted the philanthropy of students like Adetunji and Campomanes.
