SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University wrestling team begins its 2025-26 season Saturday at the Tonee Ellis Memorial Invitational at Alvernia College.
The Raiders graduated just one senior from last season’s squad that won seven dual meets, and will send their deepest team in years to Alvernia thanks to a strong senior class and several key transfers.
“[The seniors] know what to expect from practice, they know what to expect from matches and how we prepare,” said head coach Seth Bloomquist. “Having only graduated one, you hope that these guys don’t just sustain their performance but reach a higher level…”
