On Wednesday, April 22, Shippensburg University welcomed representatives from the US Small Business Administration (SBA) to campus. Jim Spencer, SBA Mid-Atlantic Regional Administrator, Steve Dixel, SBA District Director, and Michael Kane, Deputy District Director, joined President Charles Patterson for a tour of the newly renovated Kriner Hall. Kriner will soon serve as a hub for entrepreneurship as the home of the university’s Small Business Development Center, the Charles H. Diller Jr. Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership and Innovation and the Mr. and Mrs. Milton K. Morgan III Makerspace.
The group also visited a pop-up shop for the newly established Student-Made Shippensburg, an online marketplace of student created products. In the final stop of their visit, the group hosted two roundtable discussions for regional lenders and small business manufacturers.
