Recently, Congress passed the CARES Act, which funds the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF). The Act requires universities to provide emergency aid to eligible students who are enrolled in the spring 2020 semester and taking face-to-face courses until the pandemic caused the change in delivery method.
Shippensburg University has allocated funding to cover emergency needs of students during this tumultuous time. Grants of up to $3,000 will be awarded through an application process. Students can submit the application and required supporting documentation at http://www.ship.edu/coronavirus/emergency-funding/. The committee will meet weekly to review applications.
