Ship alumnus, U.S. Army Major General Charles C. Rogers ’71M, was honored in The Herald-Dispatch.
The feature detailed how the now-deceased Rogers received a Medal of Honor for “his actions in defense of a firebase in South Vietnam near the Cambodian border” during the Vietnam War. U.S. Army MG Charles C. River Memorial Bridge in Cotton Hill, WV now stands in his honor.
