Dr. Dhiman Chattopadhyay, Communication, Journalism and Media
- In June 2021 Chattopadhyay along with his colleague Dr. Carrie Sipes received a “PASSHE Faculty Professional Development Council” grant from the state system for their research project titled: “Does inclusivity build trust? Examining effects of inclusive, community-centered journalism on trust in media among minority groups,” The year-long funded project will see Ship CJM students partner with WITF reporters, and their journalistic work covering marginalized communities across PA, uploaded /broadcast by WITF’s website.
- In June 2021 Chattopadhyay was recognized by the Minority & Communication Division of the Association for Education in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC) on its National Scholar Spotlight, for his work on digital media, marginalization and social change.
