Dr. Heather Sahli, associate professor; and Dr. Larry Klotz, professor emeritus, successfully applied for registration of the Shippensburg University Herbarium in “Index Herbariorum”, a “worldwide index of 3,100 herbaria”. Dr. Klotz and local volunteer Mr. Ben Hedges have now cataloged 13,861 of the more than an estimated 15,000 specimens of ferns and seed plants in the collection.
