Dear Campus Community,
On Monday, January 31, students, faculty, staff, and administrators began participating in the System-Wide Climate Survey. A “climate survey” assesses how different individuals and groups experience the university environment, from the classroom to the athletic field, from the arts stage to Greek Life, from the campus social scene to life in the surrounding community.
To encourage your candid responses, the survey is anonymous and no personal identifying information will be collected from you. Because the survey is anonymous, you will receive an e-mail from Viewfinder Campus Climate Surveys, LLC, a company distributing the survey to all members of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE). Accessibility accommodations for completing the survey are available.
Your voice matters, and we need to hear from you! Please do your part and complete the survey.
The PASSHE Climate Survey is grounded in the State System’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Strategy Framework, and helps us better understand and measure campus and community inclusivity. The results will allow us to focus on DEI strengths and opportunities for all students and all employees and help us learn how to promote a sense of belonging across PASSHE.
To make Ship and the entire State System a better place for all who attend and work in PASSHE, everyone is strongly encouraged to complete the survey, which will be online until March 4, 2022.
If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Manny Ruiz in the Office of Social Equity, Old Main 200, (717) 477-1161.
Sincerely,
Dr. Charles E. Patterson
Interim President
