Dear Campus Community,
I am pleased to share Shippensburg University Foundation’s 2021-2022 Report with the campus community. I hope you will take a few moments to read it and see the tremendous support of our generous donors, and the outstanding work of the SU Foundation that benefits our Shippensburg students and faculty every day.
It was a record-setting year, as contributions to the SU Foundation totaled $8,960,054, the highest in SU Foundation history.
The foundation provided $7.39 million in direct and indirect support for the benefit of Ship students, faulty, and programs in 2021-2022. The amount of direct student aid during this time including scholarships, awards and low-interest loans totaled a record $2,052,345, an over $149,000 increase from last year. I’m pleased to also share that 14 new scholarships and other funds were available to be awarded for the first time this fall.
Faculty support from the Annual Fund and endowed accounts totaled $363,474 and the new Student Emergency Fund has provided over $48,000 in grants to students in need of assistance with tuition, food, housing, and textbooks since its inception in November 2020.
We are grateful for our partners at the Shippensburg University Foundation and for our alumni, parents, friends, and donors (including our campus community) for their continued support. Please read the full report to learn how giving is making a big impact at Shippensburg University.
Sincerely,
Charles E. Patterson, PhD
