Shippensburg University President Charles E. Patterson, PhD, is listed as one of City & State’s 2024 Higher Education Trailblazers. The list recognizes leaders who have responded to the changing economic, social and technological landscape with innovative programming, outreach both tangible and virtual and, in some cases, restructuring to accommodate the ambitions of a new generation.
The list highlights Patterson’s leadership in stabilizing enrollment at Shippensburg University, securing a federal grant to support workforce development training and a single-year record with $10 million raised by the Shippensburg University Foundation. This is Patterson’s second year appearing on the list.
