On December 6, Shippensburg University concluded its Fall 2025 Senior Art Exhibit at the Kauffman Gallery with a closing reception featuring works of several talented student artists.
The exhibit showcased a diverse range of artwork from graduating seniors, including paintings, ceramics, and drawings, all of which expressed each artist’s creative journeys.
Here is a glimpse at a few of the many pieces presented at the exhibit:
Kloey Robinson

Robinson presented a series of oil-on-board paintings, inspired by her childhood experiences. “My work is deeply inspired by my childhood traumas and the emotional experiences I had,” Robinson shared. “I focus more on the feelings I felt and how that impacted my childhood and young adulthood. There’s a vagueness in each work that allows for personal reflection.”
Noami Bard

Bard contributed beautiful watercolors of flowers. Her pieces depict flowers that are vibrant and lively, to flowers in the process of dying, symbolizing the cycle of endings and new beginnings.
Zoe Nowell

Zoe Nowell’s ceramic art vessels reveal her personal struggle with endometriosis, materializing the pain of the condition in a way that conveys her story.
Kayla Snock

Kayla Snock also presented ceramics, focusing on the process of crafting larger vessels and experimenting with unique glazes.
Alex Gonzalesz

Alex Gonzalesz showcased his articulate drawings inspired by the movies that he loved as a child. “I enjoy using detailed textures to create characters and worlds of my own. I also love to create dramatically lit scenes with light and dark contrast to create an eerie mood. The goal is to create a sense of epic tension that I saw in movies growing up,” said Gonzalesz.
Director of the Kauffman Gallery at Shipensburg University, Sara Swacina, emphasizes the importance of these exhibitions in showcasing the talents of student artists and encourages all students to immerse themselves in the artistic opportunities and events available at the university.
