Jonathan Skaff, professor of History and director of International Studies, made two virtual international presentations in June. The first talk entitled, “Tang China’s Horsepower: The China-Inner Asian Borderland Breeding Ranch System” was presented to the Animals and Human Society in the Sinitic World Seminar of the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. The other talk was “Borderland Cosmopolitanism: A Case Study of Early Medieval Guyuan, Ningxia” for the Cosmopolitan Pasts of China and the Eurasian World Conference hosted by Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich. https://www.cosmopolitanpasts.sinologie.lmu.de
