Dr. Steven Burg, History Department, offered a historical review of Wisconsin’s response to the 1918 pandemic in a recent Burnett County Sentinel article. The article “Wisconsin’s pandemic past offers clues to its coronavirus future,” discusses Wisconsin’s bold approach to stopping the 1918 pandemic. Rob McGee’s ’87 appointment as superintendent of Neshaminy School District was recently feature in the Bucks County Courier Times. McGee earned a bachelors degree in education from Shippensburg University. He started his career teaching mathematics and was eventually named Nashaminy’s director of secondary education. He will assume his new role of superintendent on July 1. Read…

The Shippensburg University Marching Band (SUMB) debuted a virtual rendition of the university fight song last week, generating a social media wave of school spirit.
