Four Shippensburg University students are advancing in the statewide American250PA Direct Effect Innovation Challenge.

Governor Tom Wolf invited students from every school in the Commonwealth to participate in this three-round competition that tasks students to create an integrated marketing campaign strategy for the launch of America250PA – a six-year, statewide celebration of the nation’s 250th birthday in 2020.

Mechanical engineering students Briana Paey, Austin Moreno, Megan Swam and John Harriman are the winners of the Shippensburg University campus round of the competition and will advance to the regional level of the competition. The team designed, developed and pitched their concept that they hope will serve as strategy for the America250PA launch in January of 2020.

Stay tuned for an update from the next round in Wilkes-Barre on October 26.
