Laurie Cella, Steven Burg, and Javita Thompson delivered a presentation, “Fostering Cross-Campus Collaboration for First Year Student Success” at the National First Year Experience (FYE) Conference held in Washington, D.C. from February 21-24, 2020. The presentation highlighted Shippensburg University’s experience building a First Year Experience program that integrated partners from across the university to support first year students as they transition to the university, including Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Student Success, the Counseling Center, Multicultural Student Affairs, the Career Center, the campus library faculty, and Residential Life. The presentation also highlighted the important role played by student peer mentors (Peer Anchors) in linking students to diverse campus opportunities and support resources
