The University will be closed Thursday, December 24,2020 and Friday, December 25, 2020 for the Christmas Holiday, and on Friday, January 1, 2021 in observance of the New Year Holiday.

Those employees earning annual and personal leave will have until April 09, 2021 to use annual leave hours above the current year maximum carryover of 337.50 hours.

AFSCME and PSSU employees earn two deferred holidays per year (President’s Day and Columbus Day).  All other bargaining units (with the exception of faculty) and managers earn one deferred holiday per year (President’s Day).  Holiday time does not carry over from one leave calendar year to the next and must be used by January 1, 2021.  Those who worked Labor Day, September 7, 2020 have earned an additional deferred holiday available to use by January 1, 2021.

All annual and personal leave that is used through the April 09, 2021 pay date will be charged to carryover leave, as long as a carryover balance is available.

Only the unused annual leave beyond the maximum that employees are unable to use by April 09, 2021 will be converted to sick leave, regardless of the employee’s sick leave usage in the prior year.  Personal leave does not convert to sick leave
