Joseph Zume, geography and earth science, has been awarded a research fellowship from the Council for the Development of Social Sciences Research in Africa (CODESRIA). He will be conducting groundwater and sanitation research with collaborators at Makerere University, Uganda, in East Africa, from June -July 2021.

In addition, Zume has published his research paper, Using an Applied Geophysical Imaging Course to Enhance Quantitative Reasoning and Problem-Solving Skills for Environmental Geography Students, in the International Journal of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, Volume 32, no. 3 (2021).
