The university’s annual automatic sprinkler and fire pump inspections are scheduled to begin on Monday, July 12, 2021, with work continuing through the end of July. As part of the process, inspectors must ensure all valves, pumps, and equipment report into building fire panels. It is normal to hear beeping sounds coming from primary and secondary fire panels within all buildings. Please note, these sounds do not require building evacuation. In the event of an actual emergency, you will hear an automated message requiring you to evacuate.
