On January 28th, 2022, at 3:00 – 6:00 PM ET, Dr. Shishir Shakya, economics, will be presenting in a virtual public symposium where he will talk about the Effect of Regulating Healthcare Workers on Patients and Practitioners at the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason University and co-hosted by the Arkansas Center for Research in Economics. The session will also see break-out rooms to talk with policymakers, researchers, and graduate students regarding how to improve health care access, especially in rural areas.
