If you can’t make it to any of Ship’s Black History Month events, we’ve got a list of virtual ways you can engage, learn and celebrate on your own time.

  • National Museum of African-American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.  is temporarily closed due to COVID-19 restrictions but, you can still access virtual exhibits, online collections and digital resources.
  • Support Black Owned offers Black owned business listings and tools to allow businesses to invest and build wealth in communities. Check out the easy-to-use search engine to support these businesses.
  • Rosa Parks Museum in Alabama offers free virtual tours on select dates. Learn all about the life and work of Parks and participate in a question and answer session.
  • The Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice is located in Alabama tells the stories of enslavement of African Americans, the evolution of racial terror lynchings, legalized racial segregation and racial hierarchy in America through first-person accounts.
