Dr. Scott Drzyzga was recently recertified as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), which requires continual education, making contributions to the profession, and peer review of a portfolio of recent mapping projects. Scott also passed the FAA’s recurrent small unmanned aircraft systems test, renewed his FAA Remote Pilot Certificate, and became an inaugural member of the PA Drone Association’s Workforce Development Committee. These experiences, together with being on the PA State Geospatial Coordinating Board, inform Scott’s teaching, research, and service activities at Shippensburg University. #GISDay is November 17, 2021.
