Your continued hard work exemplified that our university can tackle challenges and work diligently and creatively to serve our students and our mission. Your continued patience, understanding, and collaborative spirit is appreciated as we plan for the future.

Residence Life-bi-weekly testing for Residence students, visitation allowed. Proof of vaccination exempts the resident student from testing requirement. Vaccinated residents do not need to wear masks. We ask that non-vaccinated individuals wear a mask for their safety and the safety of others.

There will be some modifications to these policies for some of our camps and conferences where appropriate.

As of June 1, 2021, COVID related flexible work options will cease.

All employees that were given allowances to work remotely are expected to report back to campus. This means any allowances that were not ADA-approved like office density, daycare needs during the pandemic, family members who were categorized as high risk, or non-ADA health concerns. For employees with health considerations that might require allowances under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please fill out an ADA Accomodations Request form. Please complete the appropriate form and return it, and any related documentation, to Nipa Browder, Assistant Director of Human Resources and Benefits Manager at nbrowder@ship.edu.

Thank you for your continued support, understanding and cooperation. If there are COVID-related questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

Chris Clarke
