Senior marketing major Taylor Hauck is taking full advantage of internship opportunities provided as she prepares to graduate in spring 2022.

This summer Hauck is a marketing intern with Offer Blueprint, a direct sales and marketing firm based in Mount Joy, PA. In the fall she’ll work with Volvo Construction Equipment as a Global Repair and Maintenance intern working to drive sales of Volvo’s services to dealers and customers around the world.

Taylor credits the hands-on experience she’s gained in the classroom and the “helpful and passionate faculty,” for preparing her for both of these incredible opportunities.

“I’ve had a great experience in the marketing program. I’ve enjoyed hands-on experiences in multiple classes using marketing simulations in digital marketing and social media marketing,” she explained.

Hauck has expanded on her classroom experience at Ship as a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, the oldest professional co-ed business fraternity in the United States. The organization provides students the chance to gain leadership and organizational experience while providing great networking and service learning opportunities.

And she knows her internship experiences are an important next step in her academic career, as they prepare and position her to go after the career she wants.

“Internships have been so important in my college journey. I am able to take the things I am learning in the classroom and apply them to real-world experiences,” she added.

Ship now offers two marketing programs, marketing management and digital marketing and analytics, and in the AACSB accredited John L. Grove College of Business.
