Dr. Scott Drzyzga, was recertified as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). Scott maintains his GISP so he can stay current and prepare students using first-hand information for the 4-hour exam, portfolio review, and professional contributions and ethics requirements. By design, Ship students who earn any 4-year degree and successfully complete our GIS Certificate Program (or the GIS minor program) will have met the minimum education requirement to apply for GISP Certification.
